Lisa - Sarcoma

This team of doctors at MDA that specialize in Sarcoma meet regulalrly and discuss with each patient individually and personally what is best for that patient. After the oncologist decided against any chemo, the radiologist after meeting with the team of doctors decided radiation would be beneficial for Lisa. When the tumor was removed , there were clear margins all around, but they decided the tumor had been too close to the chest cavity and radiation would be helpful. Lisa will start radiation on May 5th for 30 days. She will have a comlete body scan every 3 months to watch for any change of the lesions on liver and lung and for any new tumors. It is still a 20% the Sarcoma will reoccurr. So keep Lisa in your prayers.

Cancer

My granddaughter Lisa, Smith who was diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer, and had surgery to remove the tumor , has now heard the results. Dr. Rabi, head of the cancer dept. at MDA met with Lisa and talked with her at length about Sarcoma. There is no treatment for Sarcoma and there is a 20% chance of reaccuring. So Lisa will see Dr. Rabi every 3 months and have a complete body scan. This is not the news we were hoping for - so continue to keep Lisa in your prayers.
