Patmos is the northernmost island, a place of pilgrimage because it was here that John the Divine wrote the book of Revelations and because of the famous monastery. The whole island was declared sacred by the Greek Partiam in 1980. From the port, Skala, toward the top of the hill is the church of the Apocalypse, which enshrines the cave where St. John received the Revelations. The voice of God spoke through a three-fold crack in the rock and it was audible only to St. John, and dictated to his disciple Prochorus. Tradition says that St. John was sent here in 95 A.D.for preaching Christ in Ephesoss.
Sadly, I don't have any pictures.
